May Day_3

A4 – Labour ‘movement’ hard to be separated from world’s big history. From the tense off WW II war machines production next to the football field, the blue collar workers never get absent on taking part of historical solution, as world’s ‘political’ ball is kicking up around times, from major conflicts to minor ‘mayhem’.

Even now, centuries later after the rise of industrial revolution back on England, labour gets their own special recognition once in a year, as its numbers and participations become officially recognized as one of world’s power. A date which later well pronounced as ‘May Day’.

A4 – Taking it’s predicate as one of developing country in Southeast Asia, Indonesia is never get too far from a single ‘word’ which representing much of the daily term inside a vast nation, that are ‘developing’ issues.

Emerging issues, started from economic, politics, national security, crime, social, welfare or even an escalated environment topics, quite ‘entertaining’ it’s people, as it became headlines, which are brought by an ink of daily morning paper into a digital fonts from world wide web.

A4 – Predicated as the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta is not only swarm by it’s political issues, but also surrounded by overwhelming problems as the largest main centralized city of the vast archipelago.

Offering all the luxury to be called as a world class metropolitan city in such an ‘instant’ way, Jakarta soon become disoriented by lack of adequate masterplan which arise not only a new building in every corner of it’s protocol street, but also the ‘skytall’ problems that lately ‘towering’ streets of the capital.

A4 – Busted by the law, and handed over inside cold prison bars probably a ‘sentence’ that mark as a ‘bad luck’ for the bad guys. While most prisons across Indonesia blown up the local newspaper with their ‘bad scandal’, a good positive news finally emerged from behind the one of Indonesia’s well known prison, Rutan Salemba.

‘Hotel Prodeo’, that is the ‘nickname’ for the terms of prison in Bahasa. Now, instead yelling and screaming scrambling behind the prison bars, the convicts of Salemba has their own way to make their ‘voice’ to be heard throughout the country, by amazingly sang ‘bit by bit’ of their music melody.

A4 – Based on it’s size per square, Jakarta is far away to be called as an ‘ideal’ green environment capital. Unhealthy symptoms, such as pollutions, noises or even scattered garbages seems to merging down, bringing a ‘nightmare’ throughout the capital as people slowly tend to become adapted of it… and called it as ‘normal’.

This condition is worsened by the lack of natural protection. A fact which makes any coffee shop or mall throughout this enormous megapolitan city which offering both air conditioned and couch succesfully tempting every visitors to bought their cups of caffeine while eventually take a break from the heat.

A4 – While New York and other North American cities was bitten hard by sub-zero Vortex ice assault, the other part of ‘time zones’ also shares the same invasion by mother nature, including Jakarta.

Well… Jakarta is well famous as one of controversial capital in the world. This vast urban jungle concrete megapolitan Southeast Asian city is well familiar not only because its traffic jam ‘disorder’ which last longer than any TV shows broadcasted, but also on its own annual ‘sick’ ritual, which is called… “Banjir”.
